Project description:

This role will be reporting into the Equity Finance QA Management, the EF test analyst will join the team to facilitate QA testing of EF QA projects. The role will require the candidate to work closely with peers within the QA team and directly interface with the development team(s), Global Support team(s), Project Manager(s) and the business. The candidate will require the flexibility to reapply their focus in this quick changing testing environment.
The position plays a key role in providing a value added service to the Equity Finance business.

Responsibilities:

-Planning and coordinating Equity Finance test cycles.
-Accurate reporting of test status for each stream of work to IT and Business management.
-Ensuring accurate and complete documentation to satisfy our audit requirements.
-Maintain and grow the value added service provided by EF QA
-Involvement in the Software development life cycle.
-Produce test cases and test plans from functional specification and Change Requests.
-Develop and execute test cases and scripts
-Raise, track and manage defects
-Provide reporting on test results from regular builds that allow for quantitative tracking
-Assess and Automate Test scenarios based on various tools and existing frameworks
-Develop Capacity and Performance tests and use automated tools to run tests
-Be the QA Point of contact for assigned functionalities
-Put QA processes in place if none exist
-The successful candidate should be experienced in functional, systems and regression testing, in automating test cases using QTP or other test automation tools, in release management in an -Investment Banking environment, able to manage their workload and have good attention to detail. It is essential that the candidate has good communication skills at all levels both written and verbal.

Requirements:

-Knowledge of automation tools– especially QTP and the ability to maintain the automation scripts already built based on defined framework
-Basic DB Skills (SQL Server/Oracle/Sybase) - To create simple "select, update, delete" queries.
-Basic understanding of how XML/Web Services/FTP work
-Operational knowledge of Windows and Unix platforms
-Use of Ant/Make and Clearcase/Subversion with some Unix/Linux shell script knowledge to do builds
-Basic understanding of Java and C#
-Use of Cruise control for continuous integration and build
-Unix shell scripting knowledge
-Ability to write/maintain VB scripts (either VBA for Microsoft office automation or for maintaining such scripts)
